IMDb Synopsis: The USS Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a new ruthless enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.

This movie marks the third installment in the remade Star Trek franchise, and it does not disappoint. There were some scenes in this movie that were obviously added due to the recent passing of Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin, and they were ingeniously crafted to fit the plot yet still tug at your heart. That being said, some of the motives of and choices made by certain characters were not explained very well and it made me leave the theater feeling like some scenes were removed just to obtain the typical two-hour running length.

Despite a substandard plot, I thoroughly enjoyed Star Trek Beyond and rate it 7.8/10
