Pardon my pun, but the holiday crafting craze is back again, so here’s 3 crown-tested, Crown-approved fall DIYs to feed the pinterest monster inside you!

finished-jar

First up is this awesome mason jar candle holder inspired by this pin from DIY Projects.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Tissue Paper
  • Mod Podge
  • Mason Jar
  • Brushes
  • Candles
  • Twine (optional)

As you can see from the supplies photo, originally tissue paper was not a part of the supplies list. I wanted to use fall-colored fake flowers and leaves similar to the ones in the original project, but curved, plastic leaves don’t really lay flat on a jar, so that idea went straight out the window.

jar-modpodging

Start by cutting the tissue paper up into whatever shape or size you want. Next, put a thin coat of modpodge onto your jar. Quickly put the paper on the jar, overlapping the colors, and making sure all of the glass is covered. Finally, finish with a twine ribbon and enjoy.

Next up are these delicious apple pie roll-ups, made using this recipe from The Blond Cook.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 Granny Smith Apple
  • 1 tsp Apple Pie Spice
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • ⅓ cup Pecans (optional)
  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

For anyone wondering, because I know I was, apple pie spice is a real thing. It’s a mix of allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg, that you can make yourself, or find at any grocery store.

First, preheat your oven to 375. Next, peel your apples, and cut them into thin slices. Place these aside for later. In a small bowl, melt the butter. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and apple pie spice. Lay out the crescent rolls, and spread the sugar mixture onto them, sprinkling in pecans as desired. Dip the apples in the butter, and place them on the larger end of the rolls. Roll these as seen in the pictures, brushing the rolls with butter. Finally, bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Enjoy!

Last, but not least, is this apple pie sugar scrub, inspired by this pin from The Spring Mount 6 Pack.

2 Cups of Brown Sugar

1 Cup of Granulated Sugar

3 Tablespoons of Apple Pie Spice

1 Cup of Coconut Oil

First mix all of the ingredients in a bowl. You may need to add more coconut oil until the right you find a good consistency. Then, just pour it into a jar, or other container, for storage. Enjoy!
