A spinoff from the original hit  The Lego Movie that came out in 2014 and  won the hearts of kids (and adults) everywhere, The Lego Batman Movie is an epic sequel that is perfect for a family movie night. The film is filled with humor, action, and hidden morals that make for a good life lesson and acts as a reminder of what’s really important in life. Featuring the voices of Will Arnett as Batman, Zach Galifianakis as Joker, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, and ,my personal favorite, Michael Cera as Robin. When introduced in the first movie, Lego Batman was an immediate favorite because of the way he mocked Christian Bale’s characteristic gruffness and blunt sense of  humor. In this movie, a deeper look is taken into the everyday life of   Batman in the block city of Gotham. As shown in the first movie, Batman is an swift and mysterious crime fighting hero that can easily masterbuild
his way out of any sticky situation. However, it is  also discovered  that Bruce Wayne ,on the other hand,  is a rich narcissist  who doesn’t know how to work with a  team and is more of a “I work alone” type of guy. Batman repeatedly rejects and pushes any sort of opportunity to get close to people, and it is learned later that Batman prefers isolation due to the fear losing the people he cares most about which stems from a series  of early childhood experiences. Batman goes through an amazing transformation that touches close to the heart and shows how important it is to surround yourself with the people most important to you and to love and cherish every moment you have with them.
