Deceit, lies, revenge , and love are all brewing in the small town of Riverdale. With a murder mystery in the town, Archie and his friends try to answer the big question….. Who killed their friend Jason Blossom? The new hit tv show, Riverdale, only premiered last month on January 26th, and is the new intriguing and addictive CW drama that has America hooked on teen heartthrobs, suspenseful secrets, and unexpected plot twists. Before this new show came out, Riverdale originated in 1941 as a popular comic strip about a highschool boy named Archie Andrews and his attempt to skate through the halls of Riverdale High with his friends Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and ,of course, Josie and the Pussycats. Although the casting for the role of Archie may be spot on, as actor KJ Apa sports ginger locks to fit the comic book role of Archie Andrews, the orange hair color seems to be the only similar between the original comic strips and the new drama series. Whereas the original Archie was light and playful and meant to be a cute story for people to read about a regular kid in high school where his biggest problems were trying to make the varsity football team, getting good grades, and deciding what girl he was going to take to the spring formal, but the new, modern CW show put a totally new spin on the beloved comics. Riverdale has turned the light and casual tone into a murder mystery where no one can be trusted. Suspense is building and the clock is ticking to find out who really killed one of Archie’s classmates, Jason Blossom. Friendships will be tested as the group of friends dig deeper and deeper into who the murderer is and what they find may not be what they expected.
