Playing football at Marian has given Isaac McGuire memories on and off the field with his friends and teammates. Inspired by his older brother, McGuire decided to play football, and the game quickly became a major priority for him. McGuire describes his time being a Hurricane as “Something that will always bring back great memories. I was lucky to have the opportunity to play alongside my teammates and build relationships with them from freshman to senior year.”

A memory McGuire will never forget was during his senior season, when the Canes managed to pull a win against Nazareth Academy after being down 19 points in the second half. “I know I have a job to do, and I need to do whatever I can to help my team win.” With the support of his friends and teammates, McGuire was able to realize what football really means to him. He explains, “My friends helped me realize football is more than just a game; it is such a huge part of my life and my teammates truly understood that.”

As McGuire’s four years at Marian come to a close, he will be continuing his football career at Augustana College. McGuire states what he is most looking forward to when he begins football in the fall ,“I’m really excited to play with my new teammates and coaches. It’s a whole new level of competition and I’m glad I have the opportunity to play college football.” McGuire especially wants to thank his dad, brother, teammates, and coaches for helping him create memories and relationships he will never forget.
