Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and the decorations help show the joy of the season. They don’t have to be anything fancy. Decorations on the outside of the house could be as simple as putting five candles in the windows like they did before electricity or as big as decorating your entire yard with thousands of lights. The more traditional way of decorating the outside of your house is to put lights up that outline the roof of your house and on your front bushes. Some also put lights on the sides of their driveway to draw in people’s attention. There are even people who put lights on their outdoor trees, or inflatable decorations in the front yard. However, it doesn’t really matter what kind of decorations you put out, as long as you like them.

The inside is what makes you original. Most people decorate Christmas trees as a family tradition and put the presents from Santa under. Some people have a theme to their tree, like all white lights with gold ornaments or while lights with red ornaments. The ornaments come next. First, you put on the ones you’ve made, got as presents, or had passed down to you. Then, most people, put red bulb ornaments on to tie it all together and make it look like a theme.

Christmas isn’t about competing your house decorations with others like they did in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, it’s about pleasing yourself with whatever you like. They are a great way of expressing yourself and will make you smile no matter whose house it is because everyone is different, and they can even give you ideas for decorations next Christmas.
