Throughout the summer, there are tons of people that vacation around the globe. Travelers can experience vast, white, sandy beaches, landmarks that are so tall they touch the clouds, and swampy, grassland roamed by alligators. There are 197 countries in the world with endless possibilities. For a short period three months with no school, families pick where they want to go and what they want to go see for their summer adventures. Four Marian Students were able to experience trips of a lifetime, along with giving their opinion of some of the best places for a good time, and to explore the country.

Molly Iden (9) went to visit our friends all the way in the U.K. Iden (9) went to London with her family to explore the beauties and rich history of the country. She went to Palace of Westminster and said it was one of the greatest things she has ever seen. When asked what her favorite part of the trip was she said, “Shopping because there was more stuff and nicer stuff.” Iden (9) wants to go back and see some of the other landmarks, but now to fly west to visit our friend Nik Rabine (10) down in Marco Island, FL.

Rabine (10) took a trip down to the Sunshine State for his summer adventure. He was able to venture to Marco Island Ocean Hotel. Rabine (10) spent one week in Marco Island on a whole family trip with his siblings and parents. He glided across the water on a boat, walked along the beautiful beaches, and swam in the luxurious, clear pool. Rabine (10) reminisced about his favorite part of his sunny vacation, “We went wave running beside dolphins at night while the sun was setting. It is something I will remember forever.” He plans to go back to see what other adventures are in store, but now a shorter flight to the land of white, sandy beaches.

Amber Reynolds (11) went on the next trip down to Mexico. Her family was able to enjoy some relaxation for a week in Cancun. Reynolds (11) went snorkeling in the deep, blue ocean, and ATV riding through the hills. Her amazing experience on this vacation already has her planning her return for future vacations! She said her favorite moment was, “Jet skiing across the ocean was the best thing.” The final flight on our Marian Journey takes us 9 hours and 40 minutes to Paris to marvel at all of the old castles, towers, and culture that have been there for hundreds of years.

Lastly, we have Julia Jenkner’s (12) trip halfway around the world. She went to Paris and traveled through many cities in France with her friends. Jenkner (12) has planned this trip with her friends for a couple of years and took a trip of a lifetime with those closest to her. Jenkner (12) went hiking and canoeing a lot on her trip through different towns that had different castles in each one. She had gelato every day in front of the Eiffel Tower, and said, “We canoed for thirteen miles through different towns where we saw castles and other buildings.” Jenkner (12) then said she wants to travel the world and go everywhere to explore.

Now you have visited the Palace of Westminster, jet skied with dolphins across the ocean, and had gelato in front of the Eiffel Tower. The students of Marian have had a great experience to see these wonderful places, getting to experience different cultures, and making memories they get to share. Now, where are you going next summer?
